Green Points in Limassol: the Four Sites, Opening Hours and How Much They Take

Limassol district has four Green Points, none of them in the city: Parekklisia, Fasoula, Kolossi and Avdimou. Opening hours, map pins, what each takes and the per-household limits on rubble, garden waste and furniture.

Limassol's Green Points at a glance

Checked: November 2026, against the pages of ΕΟΑ Λεμεσού and the operator.

Limassol district has four Green Points: Parekklisia, Fasoula, Kolossi and Avdimou. They belong to the district self-government body, ΕΟΑ Λεμεσού, and are run for it by the district waste board, ΟΕΔΑ Λεμεσού. Drop-off is free for households.

There is no Green Point inside Limassol city, Germasogeia, Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, Polemidia or Ypsonas. From town, Fasoula, in the hills just north, is the closest. Parekklisia suits the eastern side, Kolossi the west.

The four sites, with map pins and phones

None of the four has a published street address. The pins below are the ones ΕΟΑ Λεμεσού links to on its Green Points FAQ.

  • Parekklisia, east of Limassol (map), 99245203
  • Fasoula, north of the city (map), 99240687
  • Kolossi, west, now part of Kourio municipality (map), 99244578
  • Avdimou, the furthest west (map), 99240678

If you are not sure whether something will be accepted, ring the site before you load the car. That is the operator's own advice.

Opening hours

All four open Monday to Saturday, 08:00–16:00. They are closed on Sundays and public holidays, and there is no separate summer timetable.

Extra closures are announced on the ΟΕΔΑ Λεμεσού site. In 2026 the sites closed from 14 to 17 August for the summer break, and Easter had its own hours.

What they take, and how much per household

Limassol is the only district that publishes a limit for almost every category. The limits are per household, and most of them run over six months.

  • Furniture, mattresses and carpets: 2 m³ every 6 months
  • Garden waste and prunings: up to 3 m³ every 4 months
  • Rubble (no plasterboard): up to 200 kg, or half a double-cab pickup, every 6 months
  • DIY waste such as tiles and sanitary ware: 200 kg every 6 months
  • Fridges, washing machines and other appliances: no limit, as long as they are complete
  • Wood: 1 m³ every 6 months; plastic items such as garden chairs: 2 m³
  • Paint, glue and similar: 30 litres every 6 months; engine oil: 5 litres
  • Paper, cardboard, metal, cooking oil and batteries: no limit

The full table, with glass, textiles, light bulbs and the rest, is on the ΕΟΑ Λεμεσού FAQ. Everything has to arrive sorted. Mixed loads are not accepted.

What gets turned away

The operator's list of refusals is short and strict. Anything from a business is out, and the sites do not serve professionals, companies, local authorities or organised groups.

  • General rubbish and kitchen or food waste
  • Plasterboard
  • Appliances with parts taken out, such as a fridge without its compressor
  • Fuel, thinners, acids, caustic soda, pesticides and fertilisers
  • Clinical waste: syringes, masks, dressings

Plasterboard is the one that catches people out after a renovation. It is refused at the Green Point and has to go with the rest of the building waste.

When a skip is easier than several trips

If you live in Limassol and have one old armchair or a boot of hedge cuttings, drive to Fasoula or Parekklisia. It is free and the staff will show you which skip to use.

The limits decide the rest. 200 kg of rubble every six months is a few sacks, and a bathroom refit produces far more than that. A garden that has not been cut back for years easily goes past 3 m³. Clearing a flat means furniture, mattresses and boxes well beyond 2 m³, and every trip is a drive out of town.

For those jobs we bring a skip to your door. In Limassol a 6 m³ skip costs €180, with delivery, collection and disposal included, and rubble, furniture and branches can share it. Where the load goes after that is explained in our article on Limassol skip waste.
