How a skip clearance works

We deliver an empty skip to the house, you fill it, and we collect it and take the waste for licensed disposal. The loading is yours to arrange: you and the family, a friend with a free weekend, or the cleaner or handyman you already use in Paphos.

A skip suits a clearance when there is a lot to go and someone on hand to carry it out. If nobody can do the carrying, a clearance company that empties the rooms for you is the better fit.

Which size: a flat or a villa

Paphos prices include delivery, collection, disposal and 3 days on site:

• 6 m³, €200. About 60–70 bin bags. One room, a storeroom, a studio, or what is left once the good furniture has been sold or given away.
• 9 m³, €250. About 90–100 bags. A one- or two-bedroom flat with its furniture.
• 12 m³, €350. About 130–140 bags. A three-bedroom villa with a garage, a storeroom and garden furniture.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. Going from 9 to 12 m³ adds €100; a second 9 m³ skip would be another €250. To check, the photo estimate suggests a size from a picture of the pile.

Sort it before the skip arrives

Anything that can be sold or given away should leave first. Furniture in decent condition can go through local Facebook groups or a charity, and every wardrobe that leaves that way is space in the skip.

Then walk the house room by room, including the storeroom, the roof and the garage, and put aside whatever cannot go in the skip.

Mattresses, appliances and anything hazardous

• Mattresses can go in, but they are counted separately at €15 each. Enter the number in the booking form so the price is right. Other options are in our mattress guide.
• Sofas and armchairs go in as they are. If it is only a sofa or two, read how to get rid of an old sofa first; a skip may be more than you need.
• Fridges, freezers, TVs and other electronics stay out. Small electronics go to a Green Point; for a fridge or a washing machine, ask the municipality about a bulky-waste collection.
• Paint, solvents, gas bottles, batteries, tyres and asbestos stay out too. The full list is in what can go into a skip.

Ordering from abroad

If you are organising the clearance from abroad (a parent's house, a holiday villa you are selling, a rental between tenants), everything is booked online:

• Drop the pin on the house and add a photo of the driveway with the spot marked, so the driver knows where the skip goes.
• Use the comment for access: the gate code, where the key is, who will be there.
• Add a second phone number for the person on the spot: a neighbour, your cleaner, the agent.
• Someone has to be at the house on delivery day to let the driver in and show the spot. We take payment on delivery, not online, so that person should be ready to pay.

Once the skip is down, we send you a link to the order page. When it is full, press “The skip is full, collect it” there, from wherever you are, and the truck comes on the next round.

How long to keep it

3 days on site are included and every extra day is €4. If your helpers can only come at the weekend, book delivery for Friday and pick the collection day in the form: you see the full price before you confirm. A whole week with a 9 m³ comes to €266.

Driveway or street

On your own driveway there is nothing to arrange. A skip on a public road, pavement or parking bay in Paphos needs a placement permit from the municipality, which you get from them directly; the Paphos price guide has the details.

Usually the 12 m³. If most of the furniture is sold or given away first, a 9 m³ can be enough.

Can a fridge go in the skip?

No. Fridges, freezers and TVs go separately: ask the municipality about a bulky-waste collection, or ask the shop delivering the new one whether it takes the old one away.
